Sensory Play

Sensory play can be a huge part of a child's development. Providing lots of textures, smells, lights and fidgets can enhance emotional and physical development throughout all ages, stimulating all the senses, and helping to know what they like and don't like.

Sand

If its at the beach or on a tray, Kids love Sand.

Mix cornflour with water and food colour to create a slimy substance  that changes consistency depending on how you play with it.

Mix food colour with dry rice in a zip lock bag then leave to dry.
 

Play doh

If its home made or store bought play doh always go down well.

Cheerios

Any cereal with holes can be crunched and/or threaded.

Always great for crunching.

environment inside and out whenever the season.

Lava lamps can be mesmerizing watching the coloured wax rise and fall

Create calming rooms at night with projectors, some even rotate around the room.

Great on a hot day. mini basters and water can help melt the ice.
